On tonight’s edition of “Monday Night Raw,” former ECW Champion and current NXT superstar Rhyno made his return to the main roster, and was introduced as the 4th member of a team made up of ECW originals. Along with the Dudley Boyz and Tommy Dreamer,
who made his return to “Raw” last week, they competed in a 16-man tag team elimination match, where they eventually lost to the League of Nations.
The Dudley Boyz began a program with the Wyatt Family last week on “Raw,” and were outnumbered 4-3. Since then, there had been speculation that a 4th person would join the Dudleyz to even out the sides.
Rhyno made his surprise return to WWE on the February 18 edition of NXT, defeating Elias Samson. Prior to this match, Rhyno was last season on WWE programming at the ECW “One Night Stand” pay-per-view on June 12, 2005, where he lost to Sabu. He has also spent time in ROH and TNA, where he won the NWA World Heavyweight Championship in 2005.
Editor’s Note:
This is a great move for WWE. Rhyno has over 20 years of wrestling experience, and can bring a wealth of knowledge to the younger superstars on the main roster. And if you have a problem with that, you can take up with the GORE! GORE! GORE!!!!
