He’s Back. A Former Champion Returns At Clash Of Champions 2019

Sometimes all you need is a good bludgeoning. Clash of Champions 2019 is the one night of the year where every championship in WWE is defended. The action was intense and provided us with some hard-hitting in every contest that we witnessed.

It also provided the stage for a long-awaited return.

Luke Harper made his return to WWE programming tonight at the pay-per-view, by interfering in the match between Roman Reigns and Erick Rowan. You can see a clip of that return below:

During the match, Reigns was preparing to run down the ramp and hit Rowan with a big spear. However, Harper would intervene and help his former Bludgeon Brother defeat The Big Dog.

It had been previously reported that Harper had requested his release from WWE earlier this year, but Vince McMahon would not grant it. He was last seen at Wrestlemania 35, participating in the Andre The Giant Memorial Battle Royal, where he was eliminated by Braun Strowman.

Editor’s Opinion:

I hope that this is a fresh start for him as he is a very talented wrestler. Not only is he great in the ring, but he is a fantastic look and, if utilized properly, could be a big star in WWE. Hopefully, they will allow him to work on his own and not bring back the Bludgeon Brother gimmick, but we’ll see! Either way, it’s good to have him back!
