Drew McIntyre Storms Out of Arena Following Unscripted Royal Rumble Elimination

He wasn’t happy. According to a report from PWInsider, Drew McIntyre was furious following last night’s 2025 Royal Rumble event. He was reported to have stormed out of the arena before the event had concluded.

The report states alleges that McIntyre was furious about his elimination. He allegedly went backstage and engaged in some “screaming and cursing” about how “someone had to get their moves in,” even at the expense of planned storylines in the match. Following this, he left the arena before the conclusion of the Royal Rumble match.

This is not the first time McIntyre was frustrated and left the arena before the match concluded; he did the same thing when CM Punk made his return to WWE at the 2023 Survivor Series.

I’m not sure if this is a work or not, but it does continue a pattern of behavior we have seen from him. The company has taken his past frustrations, turned them into storylines, and did great business with them, but one can only push their luck so far. We’ll see how this all plays out, but it could lead to great things for McIntyre at WrestleMania if handled the right way.
