Breaking: WWE Releases Several Talents, Including Sonya Deville

And they’re gone. According to multiple reports, including from PWInsider, WWE has released several talents today. Among them was Sonya Deville, who will be leaving the company later this month.

The other names released were:

• The Authors of Pain
• Paul Ellering
• Blair Davenport

The Authors of Pain (AOP) and Paul Ellering were allied with Karrion Kross as a part of The Final Testament. Blair Davenport was signed to NXT in 2021 and brought up to Smackdown last year.

It had been previously reported that Cedric Alexander posted to social media that he was leaving WWE as well.

I have to admit, this is somewhat shocking. Releases happen every now and then, but all of these superstars have talent, and might not have been utilizing the proper way. That being said, there was really nothing for them on the main roster, as the final testament has faced out recently, and Blair Davenport hadn’t really been used on television. They all have something to offer and if they want to continue in the business, I’m sure will find a way to land on their feet.
