Below are some excerpts from the interview:
On how she is viewed by other performers NXT:
“Ever since I lost the Women’s Championship to Asuka, I feel like I’ve been targeted in a whole different way,” she revealed. “People have tried to keep me down and keep me away from the title picture to make sure that I never get a chance again. And personally, I’ve struggled with a lot of doubt in myself at times.”
On a rematch with Asuka for the championship:
“I’ve become more aggressive than I was last April,” Bayley said. “I’m more demanding. I know I deserve this rematch, and I won’t take no for an answer any longer.”
On her future in NXT:
“Making my family, friends and close peers proud of me is the most important thing,” an emotional Bayley stated. “They are my motivation every day. They keep me going when things get tough. I’m very proud of NXT. I’ve seen it all. I’ve done it all, from the very low days of [Florida Championship Wrestling]/NXT, to the NXT we see today that is taking over the business. I know the future is brighter than ever.”
