A Triple Threat WWE Intercontinental Championship match that was originally scheduled for “Battleground” will now be taking place at “SummerSlam” on Aug. 23 at the Barclays Center instead.
Ryback, who was yanked from the “Battleground” card following a staph infection to his right knee, will defend his title against both Big Show and The Miz.

“The Big Guy” has not been seen on WWE programming since then, although with the match being all but confirmed, he’ll certainly be appearing prior to “SummerSlam.”
The only match WWE has made official on their website at this time is Brock Lesnar going one-on-one with The Undertaker in the main event. WWE World Heavyweight Champion Seth Rollins challenged United States Champion John Cena to go title vs. title, with Cena expected to accept next week on “Raw.”
Editor’s Note
WWE had to book this match after cancelling it at the last pay-per-view. A majority of fans may not be interested in seeing it at such a big event, but what choice did the company have?
