Seth Rollins’ Curb Stomp finisher is one of the most feared moves in WWE today. It’s won him countless matches in the past, including the WWE World Heavyweight Championship at WrestleMania 31 against Brock Lesnar and Roman Reigns.
According to an exclusive report by Wrestlezone.com, WWE will be banning Rollins from using the finisher.
The feeling in the company is that the move is “too much of a direct liability and risk for a head injury.”
With more and more professional sports leagues, including the National Football League, taking a more direct approach to preventing concussions, WWE wants to do the same and stop the injury before it has a chance to take place.
WWE doesn’t want Rollins using the maneuver moving forward. Any clips that may show him executing it on an opponent will be removed as well.
During his appearance on “Monday Night Raw” overseas, his entrance video was primarily a graphic of his name.
Editor’s Note
Well this sucks. Why can’t superstars just jump when taking the maneuver? John Cena does it. Seems like a safe enough way to take the Curb Stomp. It gives you more time to protect your face from going straight into the mat. And what does Rollins use now? The Phoenix Splash? A Superkick like the one he used in FCW/NXT?
