Although fans have yet to see “The Icon” Sting step in a WWE ring, plans are in motion to make that dream a reality.

According to a report by F4WOnline.com, Sting has yet to sign an actual wrestling deal with the company.

All Sting has at this time is a merchandising deal with World Wrestling Entertainment and a deal with 2K Sports to be a part of the “WWE 2K15” video game.

Even though a deal to step inside the squared circle has yet to be reached, WWE officials remain optimistic of their chances to get at least one match out of the wrestling legend.

If everything checks out, you should expect to see Sting competing at WrestleMania 31 on March 29, 2015.

The last we saw of Sting was during a “SummerSlam” panel to help unveil the roster for “WWE 2K15.”

Editor’s Note

Sting vs. The Undertaker is still the “money match” that every fan wants to see. With “The Streak” now over and Undertaker’s health clouded in mystery, I’ll take a Sting vs. Triple or Sting vs. John Cena bout in its stead.
