WWE Studios’ reboot of the highly-acclaimed horror classic Leprechaun will be coming to VOD (Video On Demand) on Aug. 26 in the form of a prequel called Leprechaun: Origins. It will hit Blu-ray and DVD on Sep. 30.
Here is the official synopsis of the film:
Backpacking through the lush Irish countryside, two unsuspecting young couples stumble upon a town’s chilling secret. Ben (Dunbar), Sophie (Bennet), David (Fletcher) and Jeni (Roxburgh) quickly discover the idyllic land is not what it appears to be when the town’s residents offer the hikers an old cabin at the edge of the woods. Soon, the friends will find that one of Ireland’s most famous legends is a terrifying reality.

‘Leprechaun: Origins’ trailer exclusive
Leprechaun: Origins is directed by Zach Lipovsky and stars Brendan Fletcher, Teach Grant, Stephanie Bennett and Dylan Postl (WWE Superstar Hornswoggle) as the Leprechaun.
Editor’s Note
Creepy. Not clear shot of Hornswoggle, though. There’s a reason why it’s going straight to DVD/VOD and not making a run in theatres. Would it shock anyone if the movie wasn’t any good?
