TNA Releases Matt Morgan

As mentioned on the Impact Wrestling Twitter account (@IMPACTWRESTLING), TNA has come to terms on the release of “The Blueprint” Matt Morgan.

Morgan made his first appearance with TNA during an episode of TNA Today on August 7, 2007, appearing as “backup” for Jim Cornette.

He is a former two-time TNA World Tag Team Champion, having won the titles with both Hernandez and Crimson. Morgan is also a former Ring Ka King Heavyweight Champion, as well.

His last televised match with the company was during the June 13th edition of TNA Impact, losing a four-way BFG Series qualifier that featured Magnus, Rob Terry and Kenny King.

Morgan did have a brief run with the WWE from 2003 to 2005, but there is no word yet on whether there is any interest on either end for a possible return.
