As previously reported, AAA wrestler El Hijo del Perro Aguayo has passed away following an incident during a match with Rey Mysterio at a show in Tijuana, Mexico over the weekend.
According to MedioTiempo.com, the cause of death was a stroke due to cervical spinal damage. This may have occurred when Perro fell on the ropes for Mysterio’s 619 maneuver.
He was pronounced dead at 1 a.m. local time on March 21 after being rushed to the Del Prado hospital.
Mysterio has taken to social media to offer his condolences and thoughts of Perro:
