According to PWInsider’s Mike Johnson, Kane is backstage at the arena for the show, although it’s not yet known whether he’ll be making an on-air appearance during the pay-per-view.
Kane was written off of WWE television during the July 13 episode of “Monday Night Raw” following a brutal attack at the hands of Brock Lesnar, right after a contract signing with Seth Rollins.
Since then, Kane has been off filming WWE Studios latest production, entitled “6:42.”
He was originally slated to return to “Raw” on Sept. 7, however, with Sting scheduled to appear during the telecast, WWE officials didn’t feel a sense of urgency to bring back Kane during the same show.
Editor’s Note
Could Kane show up at “Night of Champions” tonight? Absolutely. Could he stay backstage to watch the festivities, then return during “Raw” tomorrow night? Sure. Who knows at this point. All fans are really concerned with as it pertains to “The Big Red Machine” is if he’ll be debuting a new look or gimmick, thus dropping the dull “Corporate” persona. Fingers crossed, everyone.
