During the February 24 edition of “Monday Night RAW,” an injury angle played out with John Cena leaving the ring on a stretcher after an attack by The Wyatt Family. It was later reported that it was merely a work and that Cena’s knee was not actually in any distress.

According to PWInsider.com, although his knee is not an issue, Cena did in fact suffer a groin tear, which he revealed to the WWE Universe during a live event this past Friday night in North Charleston, SC.

The word from the backstage area was that Cena was “pretty bad off.”

The only reason he’s working through the pain and the injury is because WrestleMania 30 is just around the corner.

Management wanted to take him off the road and away from certain events, but he refused.
