Contrary to previous reports of his inevitable return to World Wrestling Entertainment in the next few months, it appears that Batista (Dave Bautista) has other plans.
At Fan Expo 2014 in Toronto over the weekend, Batista revealed in a Q&A session that he’s far too busy to make a return to the company in 2014, per Wrestlezone.com.
He also mentioned how all the wrestlers on the roster “pretty much do the same sh*t.”
When asked about his Batista Bomb finisher, Batista said that he feels his powerbomb is one of the worst and that he doesn’t even execute the move well.
The 45-year-old has been away doing promotional work for his Guardians of the Galaxy film since “quitting” on the June 2 edition of “Raw.”
At a Wizard World Comic Con panel back in June, Batista told the fans in attendance that he would be back performing for WWE in the fall.
It appears now that those plans have changed.
Editor’s Note
Batista could be “trolling” fans in order to make a return even more surprising, but considering the success of his movie and his rising stock in Hollywood, I believe he’s telling the truth. During a time where WWE is looking for credible challengers to throw at Brock Lesnar, not having Batista in the mix is a major bummer.
