Waltman later acknowledged that Laurer never actually crashed the funeral, as someone informed him that she had been invited. Even so, her behaviour towards Hunter was still deemed inappropriate considering the circumstances.
To explain her side of the story, Laurer recently took to YouTube, posting a video on what actually happened at the funeral:
“I whispered in his ear how deeply sorry I am for anything that I said under emotional distress,” Laurer said.
“With everything I’ve gone through, I know it’s understandable, but I realize that it’s not justifiable. I wanted to tell him that, for me. There was no altercation, no security. It was a tender moment between two people who once cared about each other and grieving over a lost friend.”
Accusations were made by Laurer earlier in the year on how Triple H was abusive towards her during their romantic relationship. She also released a series of online videos bashing Hunter and his wife Stephanie McMahon.
Editor’s Note
It’s always easy to disregard what Laurer says based on her history, but since none of us were actually at the funeral, it’s important to give her the benefit of the doubt and at least hear her take on what happened. It appears that her friendship with Piper was real and genuine, and with Waltman confirming she didn’t crash the ceremony, no one can really give her crap in that regard. Everyone has their demons. Laurer certainly has hers. It’s just a crazy situation with a lot of moving parts. Ugh.
