In a recent blog post at jrsbarbq.com, WWE Hall of Famer and former esteemed play-by-play man Jim Ross updated his readers on whether or not he’d be attending the 2014 HOF ceremony in New Orleans on April 5:
WWE has invited me to attend the WWE Hall of Fame next Saturday night in New Orleans. I’m going to endeavor to attend. Great night for some very deserving performers.
JR will be performing his “A Night with Jim Ross” one-man show at the House of Blues New Orleans on April 3, so he’s going to be in the area regardless.
He is not scheduled to be calling any matches on the WrestleMania card itself, which shouldn’t come as a surprise to anyone.
Editor’s Note
If my memory serves me correctly, the last time Jim Ross called a match at WrestleMania was during the “End of an Era” Hell in a Cell war between Triple H and The Undertaker.
As much as the hardcore fan misses “Good Ol’ JR” calling bouts on the big stage, his time has come and gone. Get used to Michael Cole because he’s not going anywhere.
