During the March 12 edition of “Thursday Night Smackdown,” Jey Uso reportedly suffered a shoulder injury while working an eight-man tag team match featuring Los Matadores, The New Day and Tyson Kidd and Cesaro.

Because of the injury, Jey was forced to miss a WWE Live Event in Seattle over the weekend. His brother Jimmy worked by himself, defeating The Miz in a singles match.

WWE.com has since confirmed the news:

“Following Thursday night’s SmackDown, it was revealed that Jey Uso suffered a shoulder injury during an Eight-Man Tag Team Match. The former WWE Tag Team Champion will be evaluated again this week.”

There’s no official word as of yet as to how long Jey will be out of action.

It’s expected that The Usos will be a part of some sort of multi-team Tag Team Championship bout at WrestleMania 31, although Jey’s injury could throw a wrench in those plans.

Editor’s Note

Poor Jey. Not exactly the most ideal timing to get hurt with just weeks remaining until the biggest show of the year. Here’s hoping for a speedy recovery so that we may see him and his brother compete once again on the big stage.
