At a live Q&A session at IPlay America in New Jersey on Saturday afternoon, WWE Hall of Famer Hulk Hogan revealed some very interesting news as it pertains to his future inside the squared circle.
Although he’ll never return as a full-time competitor, Hogan did announce that he’s been training in an attempt to have one last match for World Wrestling Entertainment.
His preferred opponent would be John Cena, someone Hogan has been very high on in the past. In fact, Hogan openly praised Cena during a recent appearance on Busted Open Radio:
There’s more to this business than just winning the belt. This is a business. Cena is relentless. He’ll go to meetings, he’ll meet Walmart owners, shareholders I mean this guy knows what it takes to generate revenue. He can talk to anybody whether it be 4,000 shareholders, New York Stock Exchange, a group of women with breast cancer, he knows how to handle himself and he understands emotions and that’s why he’s my man.
Jimmy Hart, who was also at the session, confirmed that Hogan will be appearing on “RAW” in a few weeks, although he quickly took back the statement in an effort to not spoil WWE’s news.
We here at WrestlingRumors.net reported on July 17 that Hogan will be on the Aug. 11 edition of “RAW.” It will be his first televised appearance since handing the Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal trophy to Cesaro the night after WrestleMania XXX.
There are also rumors that he may be involved at WWE “SummerSlam” on Aug. 17 in some capacity.
Editor’s Note
Hulk Hogan vs. John Cena? Maybe. It all depends on Hogan’s health and if Cena has it in him to carry the Hulkster through a 15-to-20 minute match.
