The Bully is back in town.
Former TNA World Heavyweight Champion Bully Ray is backstage at this week’s “Impact Wrestling” television tapings, PWInsider.com reports.
His return won’t be short-lived, though, as Bully will reportedly be returning to the company on a full-time basis.
He was last seen on TNA programming working as the special guest referee for a main event championship match between Kurt Angle and Eric Young on May 8.
Rumors began circulating over Bully possibly reaching some sort of deal with World Wrestling Entertainment following his appearance in this year’s “Royal Rumble” match, but working with TNA on May 8, as well as this new report, should put all of those rumors to rest.
His last official match with the company as a contracted competitor was at last year’s “Bound for Glory” pay-per-view in Japan, teaming with Devon in a victory over Abyss and Tommy Dreamer.
Editor’s Note
Well there goes the Dudley Boyz reunion on the big stage I was so dying to see. Ah well. Bully Ray is obviously happy working for TNA, so to each their own. With all of the stories of the company going under in September, though, it’s surprising to see all of these names from the past (Bully, Hernandez and Matt Morgan, for example) reappear.
