At Ring of Honor’s Death Before Dishonor iPPV, B.J. Whitmer officially announced his retirement from professional wrestling.
On August 3rd in a match with Michael Bennett, Whitmer was legitimately injured after taking a piledriver on the apron of the ring, resulting in a severe neck injury.
After consulting with doctors and his family, Whitmer has decided to step away from the sport and hang up his boots.
His big claim to fame with ROH Wrestling was winning the Tag Team Championship on four different occasions (twice with Dan Maff and twice with Jimmy Jacobs).
