The reason why Jack Swagger wasn’t on any of last week’s WWE television has been revealed. The Wrestling Observer Newsletter states that due to the company filming all of its programming in Canada the week of September 8th-15th, Swagger wasn’t able to participate because he is currently not allowed to enter the country.

Swagger’s recent conviction and probation sentence kept him from crossing the border. Swagger was found guilty of a DUI and speeding charges after a court appearance in Gulfport, MS in June. He was sentenced to six months probation, and had to pay a $500 fine. His possession of marijuana charge was dismissed.

The WWE covered Swagger’s absence brilliantly however, by claiming on WWE television that Swagger is a “real American” and refused to step into Canada for any reason.
