Prior to WrestleMania XXX in New Orleans, PWInsider.com caught up with former WWE and WCW World Heavyweight Champion Bill Goldberg. Some interesting details concerning his possible return to World Wrestling Entertainment emerged during the conversation.
Goldberg revealed that he had several discussions with COO Triple H, but a majority of them were generalized and had little to do with his rumored WrestleMania match with Ryback.
Here’s what he had to say about one final run with the company:
Would I love to do it again and have my son and my wife, who has never seen me wrestle? Abso-damn-lutely. Would I jeopardize what I’ve done in the wrestling world just to make that happen? No. So if I wasn’t ready to do it, physically ready to do it, and it wasn’t the right situation, I wouldn’t do it just to do it. If that was the case, I’d probably be at WrestleMania this year. It just has to be right and if it’s not right, then I’m retired, for good.
Goldberg’s last match was at WrestleMania XX when he defeated Brock Lesnar with “Stone Cold” Steve Austin as the special guest referee.
Editor’s Note
There’s probably one big money match still left in the tank of Bill Goldberg. As he told PWInsider.com, the timing would have to be perfect. No need to force the issue and shove him down the throats of the WWE Universe just for the sake of it.
