The “Icon” Sting posted a cryptic tweet on his social media page less than a week ago, noting the date 7-14-14:

July 14, 2014, coincides with tonight’s edition of “Monday Night Raw,” live from the Richmond Coliseum in Richmond, VA.

As we previously reported here at WrestlingRumors.net, Sting is expected to be a pre-order bonus for the upcoming “WWE 2K15” video game.

Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter is reporting that the WWE has not signed a deal with Sting as of this morning. He is also noting that while fans may not see him live on the show, something special will be taking place in some way, shape or form involving the wrestling legend.

There’s always a possibility that WWE uses Sting in some sort of announcement prior to the show as to not lead on fans who are expecting an appearance.

The team at 2K recently shot a commercial featuring Sting as a promotional tool for the game. The finished product may be what’s revealed tonight on “Raw.”

Editor’s Note

Again, if you’re expecting a live appearance tonight from the Stinger, please don’t hold your breath.
