WWE recently went on a tour of Abu Dhabi, with a series of WWE live events during the middle of February. In the capital of the United Arab Emirates, WWE held numerous house shows during a three day span from Thursday, Feb. 12, through Saturday, Feb. 14.
During one of the shows on Friday, Feb. 13, WWE Superstar Xavier Woods returned to in-ring action. Teaming with his fellow New Day partner, Big E, Woods and Big E defeated the tag team of Stardust and Goldust in tag team action.
The bout marked Woods’ first match since Jan. 13, in which he wrestled on “Main Event.” On the program, Woods was part of a six-man tag team match, in which he, Big E, and Kofi Kingston defeated Cesaro, Tyson Kidd, and Adam Rose.
During the aforementioned bout, it appeared that Woods suffered some sort of ankle injury. Woods’ monthlong absence from in-ring competition backed up the past speculation, but it now appears all is well with Xavier Woods.
Editor’s Note
It’s nice to see that Xavier Woods has returned to competition following his presumed injury. Still, I don’t see him and The New Day picking up any sort of momentum any time soon, as WrestleMania 31 draws closer.
