This week, Sting to WWE rumors went rampant. A Sting orchestra and body double were reportedly looking to be brought in by WWE. Then, it was noted that the reason for this casting call was just for WWE’s upcoming DVD on Sting. However, shortly after that, those reports were shot down. Instead, it was revealed that the casting call had nothing to do with the DVD, despite the casting agency being associated with WWE.
F4WOnline has provided an update on the everlasting situation. The website reports that the agency which issued the casting call did not expect it to make headlines among the Internet Wrestling Community, abbreviated IWC.
The report also went on to talk about WWE’s reaction to the casting call making rounds. Upon receiving word that this got out, WWE officials were very upset due to the fact that WWE has still not signed Sting to a contract.
While Sting’s WWE status still remains in the air, he may be in a WWE ring in October, but not the way one would imagine. As previously reported, Sting is being discussed as a playable character in “WWE 2K15.” Sting would serve as the pre-order bonus, the same role that the late great Ultimate Warrior had last year. Sting would not have to be signed by WWE to appear in the video game, as both Ultimate Warrior and Hulk Hogan, featured in “WWE 2K14,” were not signed to WWE at the time of the game’s release.
