All across the globe people with their smart phones or tablets downloaded “Flappy Bird,” an addictive, struggling, yet simplistic game. In the game, the user would tap the screen to control the bird’s height as it navigated past warp-pipes, which were similar to those found in Mario games.
After it gained popularity, the creator of Flappy Bird, Dong Nguyen, would end up deleting the application from the Apple’s App Store and the Android Market. Nguyen reportedly deleted the app due to people’s frustrations with the difficulty of the game, which led some to give him death threats. Additionally, he felt guilty about the amount of money he was making due to the game’s success.

The deletion of the app led many to create knock-off versions of the game. However, Bradley James took a more unique approach, making a different version of the game called “Flappy Bryan,” featuring Daniel Bryan. Instead of navigating a bird’s height, the user controlled Daniel Bryan with a simple click of his or her mouse. Additionally, Bryan would chant “YES!” as he made it successfully past pipes and “NO” if he failed to.

Shortly after its launch, the game garnered popularity just like Flappy Bird around the WWE Universe. However, in a cruel twist of fate, Flappy Bryan also had to be removed. Its creator Bradley James noted on Twitter that Flappy Bryan had to be removed because WWE informed him the game contained WWE trademarks.
