As we previously reported, Sting may be part of the 2015 WWE Hall of Fame Class, which is reportedly a star-studded list of professional wrestling’s finest. The previous report in regards to Sting was from PWInsider, which has also provided an update regarding Sting being a playable character in “WWE 2K15.”
In addition to working on a DVD for Sting, it was rumored that Sting would be part of “WWE 2K15,” serving as the pre-order bonus. PWInsider is now reporting that is indeed the case, and may very well have been in the works for months.
According to the website, during this week, 2K Sports is filming commercials for Sting’s inclusion in the video game. These commercials will be taped in Los Angeles, Calif. Additionally, the website notes that 2K Sports filmed motion capture for Sting’s signature moves several months ago.
Last year, the late great Ultimate Warrior was the pre-order bonus for “WWE 2K14.” Warrior’s involvement in the game was announced through a video of Warrior appearing at one of 2K Sports’ offices in Novato, Calif.
“WWE 2K15” will be released in North America on Oct. 28, 2014 and internationally on Oct. 31. At “E3,” the first four playable characters were confirmed, including Hulk Hogan. Soon after, several more were confirmed, including Daniel Bryan.
Editor’s Note
It’s nice to see something reputable in regards to Sting appearing in “WWE 2K15.” I would love for him to be featured as a playable character. If he is indeed the pre-order bonus, I’ll definitely pre-order the video game.
