According to a recent report by PWInsider, WWE’s 2014 class for the WWE Hall of Fame will not have a big Mid-South Wrestling influence, even though the ceremony will be taking place in New Orleans, La. The current idea for the 2014 WWE Hall of Fame theme would see the class be focused on “30 Years of WrestleMania,” which was also a game mode in the WWE 2K14 video game.
Along with that, Ultimate Warrior being the first induction into the 2014 class for the WWE Hall of Fame came as a bit of a surprise to some. This came as a surprise to some due to the fact that Warrior was not one of the names being floated around at that time, according to PWInsider.
Even though WWE may go with a “30 Years of WrestleMania” theme, the website also reports that as of now, there is no talk about inducting Randy “Macho Man” Savage. On the other hand, the late great Paul Bearer will likely be inducted this year.
Along with seeing Warrior and possibly Paul Bearer inducted, the 2014 WWE Hall of Fame class may also feature a couple of two-time WWE Hall of Fame inductees. As we previously reported, WWE has discussed inducting the WrestleMania I main event into the WWE Hall of Fame. If the plan were to come to fruition, Hulk Hogan, “Rowdy” Roddy Piper, Paul Orndorff, “Cowboy” Bob Orton, and Jimmy “Superfly” Snuka would become two-time inductees of the WWE Hall of Fame.
