Rey Mysterio Talks WrestleMania Dream Match

In the most recent issue of WWE Magazine, Rey Mysterio told WWE Magazine the following regarding his dream match at WrestleMania:

“If I were to pick a dream match-up for sometime in the future, it would be against him [Del Rio] and I would definitely put my mask on the line. I want it to be a classic lucha libre style match, mask vs. hair.”

The previous quote has sparked some speculation that Mysterio and Alberto Del Rio may square off at WrestleMania XXX on April 6 at the Mercedes-Benz Superdome in New Orleans, La. However, there have been the annual reports of Mysterio going up against Sin Cara at the pay-per-view. With Hunico now working as Sin Cara, those previous reports may actually have some legs this year.

Alberto Del Rio and Rey Mysterio have had a bit of a mini-feud on WWE programming to kick-start 2014. On the Jan. 13 edition of “Monday Night Raw,” the two went one-on-one with Del Rio winning via submission, utilizing his “Cross Armbreaker. However, on the Jan. 17 edition of “WWE Smackdown,” Mysterio defeated Del Rio with a roll-up pin.
