On the June 9 edition of “Monday Night Raw,” Daniel Bryan was stripped of his WWE World Heavyweight Championship due to his inability to compete at “Money in the Bank.” Now, at the event, a seven man WWE World Heavyweight Championship Ladder match will take place.
Despite the actions seen on “Monday Night Raw,” there has been speculation that Daniel Bryan would make a surprise return at “Money in the Bank,” being a late addition to the ladder match for the vacated title. Some fuel to the fire for those with that belief were previous reports that Bryan faced tremendous pressure to compete at the event. However, F4WOnline has shot down these rumors.
The website reports that word within WWE is that it is highly unlikely that Bryan will make a surprise return at “Money in the Bank.” If it were to occur, it would signify that WWE is working top-level people within the company in regards to Bryan’s injury.
Additionally, the report provided an update on Bryan’s injury. A few days ago, Bryan’s condition was not that good, and he continues to heal slower than expected.
If Bryan continues to heal slower than expected, his status for upcoming events, such as “SummerSlam,” may be in question down the road. As noted, Bryan is slated to face Brock Lesnar at the event. Though, if Bryan is unable to compete, plans for a fair share of the WWE roster would have to change.
As of this writing, there are four confirmed participants for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship Ladder match: Cesaro, Sheamus, Randy Orton, and Alberto Del Rio. Though, one more participant will be confirmed on this week’s edition of “Smackdown” (contains spoilers.)
Edtior’s Note
While we would all mark-out for a Daniel Bryan return at “Money in the Bank,” there is a very slim chance of it happening.
