WWE will air its final edition of “Monday Night Raw” prior to the 2015 “Extreme Rules” pay-per-view on April 20. With much of the card for the show set, WWE will be putting together some finishing touches come Monday night. On the April 16 showing of “Smackdown,” the company may have started to accomplish just that.
In a backstage segment between The Miz, Damien Mizdow, Summer Rae, and Renee Young, a stipulation match for the April 20 “Monday Night Raw” was made. For the third consecutive week, Damien Mizdow and The Miz will face off in singles action. Though, this time around, the two will be battling for the “Miz character,” according to Miz. Whoever wins the match, Miz or Mizdow, will get to keep the Hollywood star persona.
Since Miz and Mizdow parted ways at WrestleMania 31, the two have been rumored to square off at “Extreme Rules.” Though, with yet another singles match between the two taking place on “Monday Night Raw,” that may no longer be the case.
Editor’s Note
Assuming this match happens on Monday, I’m a bit torn on who will get to keep the Hollywood persona. It would make sense for Mizdow to go over, but he doesn’t really need the gimmick. With the match not taking place at a pay-per-view, it could make a loss for Mizdow carry less meaning.
