WWE aired its final edition of programming prior to the inaugural “Fastlane” event with the Feb. 19 showing of “Smackdown.” During the show, WWE would announce a six-man tag team match for the February pay-per-view. Seth Rollins, Kane, and Big Show will team up to face Dolph Ziggler, Ryback, and Erick Rowan.
While a decent amount of members in the WWE Universe thought this match would take place at “Fastlane,” there would be some doubt placed in their heads due to the ending of the Feb. 12 episode of “Smackdown.” The show closed with Big Show seemingly turning face by knocking out Authority member and on-screen WWE Director of Operations Kane. However, on the Feb. 16 edition of “Monday Night Raw,” Big Show was able to collect himself, and stay loyal to The Authority.
These six men have been destined to fight, as they have continued to bat heads for months, coming out of the “Survivor Series” pay-per-view in November of 2014. Ryback, Ziggler, and Rowan would end up getting fired early in 2015 due to their involvement on Team Cena at the event. On the other hand, Rollins, Show, and Kane have stayed loyal to The Authority since then.
Editor’s Note
Thought this match would take place at “Fastlane,” but it seemed it may have been off the table with Big Show’s face antics.
