As previously reported, Roman Reigns may go one-on-one with Triple H at WrestleMania XXX, signifying a change in plans for the pay-per-view. According to F4WOnline, there has been talk within WWE on doing a Triple Threat match between Seth Rollins, United States Champion Dean Ambrose, and Roman Reigns. While not confirmed, the match may very well be for Ambrose’s United States Championship, which has not been defended in quite some time.
In addition to our previous report mentioning Roman Reigns facing WWE COO Triple H at WrestleMania, it also noted that Daniel Bryan may be added to the WWE World Heavyweight Championship match. This would make the match a Triple Threat match between Bryan, WWE World Heavyweight Champion Randy Orton, and 2014 Royal Rumble winner Batista. The website states that WWE does not want two Triple Threat matches occurring at WrestleMania XXX, signifying the change for Roman Reigns.
Nonetheless, whether or not The Shield face off in a Triple Threat at the “grandaddy of them all,” the group will likely be splitting up sometime in the coming months. The Shield debuted on WWE programming during the 2012 edition of the Survivor Series pay-per-view. Since then, The Shield has been a force to be reckon within WWE, no matter who or what the group is fighting for.
Dissension within The Shield has been prevalent in WWE programming over the past couple of months. Most of the dissension has been focused on Dean Ambrose and Roman Reigns, who both believe they are the top-dog among the trio. In this year’s Royal Rumble match, Reigns eliminated fellow Shield members Dean Ambrose and Seth Rollins, on his way to his record for most eliminations in a Royal Rumble match.
