As seen on the Sept. 15 edition of “Monday Night Raw,” WWE plugged the podcast of WWE Hall of Famer “Stone Cold” Steve Austin. It’s the first time “The Steve Austin Show” had been advertised on “Raw” since around the time of its beginning in April of 2013. For whatever reason, WWE decided to plug a past episode in which Austin talked to former WWE and WCW star Kevin Nash.
Many have questioned the timing and circumstances around the advertisement. In turn, the day after “Raw,” speculation began that Austin and WWE were working together on some unknown project.
While nothing is confirmed, F4WOnline recently provided a tidbit of news, which may very well spark the rumor. According to the website, WWE has requested production of a fair share of “Stone Cold” Steve Austin WWE merchandise, most notably his t-shirts.
It is still merely rumor and speculation, but some do believe Austin and WWE are indeed working together. What the two sides may be working together on is anyone’s best guess. Some believe that it is the baby steps in Austin returning to WWE for one final match in 2015 or 2016 at WrestleMania.
Editor’s Note
This is certainly interesting and intriguing, but there may very well be nothing to it. We’ll have to wait and see what else, if anything, comes out.
