On Saturday, April 5, the 2014 WWE Hall of Induction Ceremony will take place from the Smoothie King Center in New Orleans, La. This year’s ceremony will mark the first time that the event airs live and uncut, as the WWE Network will live-stream the event.
The 2014 WWE Hall of Fame class consists of seven members: The Ultimate Warrior, Jake “The Snake” Roberts, Razor Ramon, Carlos Colón, Lita, Paul Bearer, and Mr. T. Many of their inductors have been previously announced. Trish Straus will induct Lita. Colón will be inducted by his sons Carlito and Eddie Colón, who works as Diego in WWE, in addition to Carlos Colón’s nephew Orlando Colón, who works as Fernando. Diamond Dallas Page will induct Jake “The Snake Roberts,” who spent time with fellow inductee Scott Hall at Page’s “Accountability Crib” in Atlanta. The final confirmed inductor is Linda McMahon, as she will induct Warrior.
In the latest edition of Wrestling Observer Newsletter, the other presumed inductors are revealed. Within WWE, it is believed that the late great Paul Bearer will be inducted by his sons. Mr. T, who is this year’s celebrity inductee, is expected to be inducted by Hulk Hogan. The only inductee whose inductor is not known is Scott Hall, who is going in as Razor Ramon. The newsletter noted there is no official word on who will induct Hall.
Editor’s Note
I think all inductors are strong choices by WWE. It will be interesting to see who inducts Hall, as there are many different avenues for WWE to go for his induction. I wouldn’t be surprised if Hall is inducted by Sean “X-Pac” Waltman, as there have been rumblings of Waltman inducting Hall.
