With CM Punk’s departure from WWE, the “Best in the World” has put the company in a difficult position as he was slated to face Triple H at WrestleMania XXX. According to F4WOnline, WWE has discussed a number of possibilities for the marquee matches at the pay-per-view now that Punk is likely out of the picture for the event.
The first option would see Daniel Bryan face Triple H, with a title shot at Extreme Rules in Seattle on the line for Bryan, if he were to win the match. With Daniel Bryan now in CM Punk’s original spot, Bryan’s original opponent, Sheamus, would then go on to face Kane. In this scenario, Randy Orton vs. Batista for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship and John Cena vs. Bray Wyatt would still occur as planned.
The second option would see John Cena move into CM Punk’s match and face WWE COO Triple H. Sheamus would then shift into John Cena’s spot and go on to face Bray Wyatt. The WWE World Heavyweight Championship match would then become a Triple Threat, with current WWE World Heavyweight Champion Randy Orton facing both Batista and Daniel Bryan in the main event.
The third and final option being thrown around would see Sheamus square off against Triple H. John Cena would still face Bray Wyatt as planned in this scenario. Additionally, the WWE World Heavyweight Championship match would become a Triple Threat match with Batista, Orton, and Bryan, as previously stated.
