Last week, for the first “Monday Night Raw” following the 2014 edition of “Payback,” viewership saw a sharp increase from the previous weeks. In fact, viewership was able to climb above the four million mark, 4,146,000 to be exact.
TVByTheNumbers.com has now released the viewership information for the latest edition of “Monday Night Raw,” on June 9. The episode brought in an average of 4,119,000 viewers, ever-so-slightly down from the previous week. Even better for WWE, viewership increased throughout the entire night.
The first hour, which saw Daniel Bryan stripped of his WWE World Heavyweight Championship, averaged 3,893,000 viewers. For the second hour, viewership greatly increased, garnering 4,217,000 viewers. Finally, the third hour also saw an increase in viewership, averaging 4,247,000 viewers.
The edition of “Monday Night Raw” received a 1.5 rating for adults aged 18-49, down from last week’s rating of 1.6. Once again, “Monday Night Raw” was topped by VH1’s “Love & Hip Hop” in terms of ratings. “Raw” came in second among cable programs for the night, topping NBCSN’s coverage of game three of the Stanley Cup Final between the New York Rangers and Los Angeles Kings.
Editor’s Note
Another promising week for WWE in terms of viewership. The viewership tends to go hand-in-hand with the product, which I believe is trending upwards after a rough month in May.
