WWE Hall of Famer Jim Ross recently published another blog on his website, JRsBarBq.com. As always, within the post, he talked about his latest endeavors in the wrestling industry, in addition to the latest news surrounding the business.
Within the piece, Ross brought up an interesting story in regards to AAA’s “Lucha Underground” television series. Ross, who was once rumored to be joining the “Lucha Underground” commentary team, revealed he was close to working on its taping for its season finale, which will air in August. The two sides simply couldn’t find a date that worked, wrote Ross:
“I had a chance to do some work with Lucha Underground as they prepare for their season finale taping in a little over a week that will air in August but we couldn’t make the date work. I’m a fan of their product, except the intergender stuff which doesn’t suspend my disbelief, and would have enjoyed doing a project with them but it wasn’t in the cards this time around. I wish them the best of luck nonetheless during these apparent, crunch times for their brand. I am still of the belief that their back stage content is the best in he genre.”
Be sure to read Ross’ full post, here. “Good Ol’ JR” also talked about the ongoing troubles between Hulk Hogan and Scott Steiner, Shawn Michaels joining the “Ross Report” podcast, and much more.
Editor’s Note
It’s a shame the two sides couldn’t make it work.
