On Monday, Sept. 8, WWE will go head-to-head with regular season showings of ESPN’s “Monday Night Football” for the first time in the fall of 2014. In an effort to steady ratings and viewership, WWE has been stacking advertisements for the show. First off, the company has invited the first openly gay NFL player to be drafted, Michael Sam, to appear on the program. WWE would even go as far to offer him an open microphone.
Additionally, two “SummerSlam” rematches have been announced for the show. Bray Wyatt and Chris Jericho will square off in a Steel Cage match, and Roman Reigns will go one-on-one against Randy Orton.
Now, according to WWE.com, another notable attraction is set for “Monday Night Raw” on Sept. 8. Former tabloid talk show host and no stranger to WWE, Jerry Springer, will be featured on the Sept. 8 edition of “Monday Night Raw.” He will be there to “moderate” a discussion between twin sisters Nikki and Brie Bella.
Since Nikki turned on Brie at “SummerSlam,” the two have continually clashed on WWE programming. Most recently, Nikki revealed dirt on Brie during a series of “Growing Bella” spots on the Sept. 1 showing of “Monday Night Raw.” That same night, Brie would attack Nikki in the ring.
