At the September 21st Northeast Wrestling show from Dutchess Stadium in Fishkill, New York, Jerry “The King” Lawler will have a singles match with former WWE announcer Matt Striker. After his contract was not renewed in June of 2013, Matt Striker departed from the WWE.  After his departure, the former ECW star recently found a job with a local New York hockey team.

The match will be Lawler’s first singles match since he suffered a heart attack on September 10, 2012 during Monday Night Raw. Along with a Lawler vs. Striker match, the Northeast Wrestling Show will feature Kevin Nash and Scott Hall reuniting. However, “The Bad Guy” will not be wrestling. Instead, Scott Hall’s son, Cody Hall will wrestle in his place. The two have been working together in Atlanta since Cody has moved in with his father at Diamond Dallas Page’s “Accountability Crib.”
