As noted, in the latest edition of Wrestling Observer Newsletter, the newsletter talks about the latest with Scott Hall and Jake “The Snake” Roberts in Atlanta, and how WWE is offering help for the two. Additionally, the newsletter talks about Scott Hall’s son, Cody, and why he has not signed with WWE.
Back in May of 2013, while his father was rehabilitating in Diamond Dallas Page’s “Accountability Crib” with Jake “The Snake” Roberts, Cody moved to Atlanta to live with his dad.
Since then, both Cody and Scott have toured the independent circuit, as Cody tries to make a name for himself in the professional wrestling business. So far, Cody has been doing a good job, as he is winning the fair share of his matches, and has teamed with some greats in Kevin Nash and Sean “X-Pac” Waltman.
The newsletter is reporting that WWE has made multiple offers to Cody Hall in the past. However, Cody has turned down these offers because he wants to make a name for himself on the “indies” beforehand. It is also noted that Cody has been serious on continuing to learn, and making a big impact on the “indies,” even internationally, before joining WWE.
Editor’s Note
I hope WWE is not upset if Cody has indeed turned down offers from the company. The 23 year-old is definitely smart in taking his time, and not immediately jumping to WWE because of his last name. With this mindset, “Hall” will not be the reason he is in WWE. Instead, it will be because he is a tremendous talent. Hopefully there comes a point in time where “The Dad Guy” joins WWE.
