With Brock Lesnar recently returning to WWE programming on the July 21 showing of “Monday Night Raw,” Paul Heyman and Cesaro had to split away from each other. However, on the most recent edition of the program on July 28, Heyman and Cesaro appeared to hold no animosity for each other. Cesaro stuck up for his former manager, leading to the first match of the night, in which Cesaro faced John Cena. Cena would prevail, but Cesaro put up a good fight. He even used his “Cesaro Swing” for the first time in months, despite reports saying he would no longer use the move.
A recent report by F4WOnline shows that Cesaro may not be dead in the water just yet. The website reports that there is still a culmination planned for the Cesaro and Heyman pairing. The payoff will reportedly be huge, and may be a Cesaro vs. Brock Lesnar match. Within WWE, it is said that the split between Cesaro and Heyman is part of a slow build to something much bigger.
Following his split from Heyman and elimination by Heath Slater in the “Battleground” battle royal, not much looked promising for Cesaro. Reports even noted that his planned huge push was put on hold until he was needed.
Editor’s Note
Nice to see that Cesaro may not be toast quite yet. However, a lot of things need to change for him to be saved.
