Breaking: “Stone Cold” Steve Austin Confirms WrestleMania XXX Appearance

TMZ.com has broken yet another major WWE story, as “Stone Cold” Steve Austin confirmed that he will appear at WrestleMania XXX. As we previously reported yesterday, April 2, WWE contacted both Austin and The Rock for special cameos for the 30th annual edition of WWE’s biggest spectacle. Additionally, it is noted in the previous report that WWE contacted many other legends such as Jim Ross and “Rowdy” Roddy Piper, among others.

When Austin touched down in New Orleans, La. today, April 3, TMZ briefly spoke with the “Texas Rattlesnake.” After being asked why he is at the location of WrestleMania XXX, Austin responded by stating that he will be there for a number of reasons such as the 2014 WWE Hall of Fame Ceremony in addition to recordings of his “Steve Austin Show.”

Finally, Austin revealed that he is also there to appear at WrestleMania XXX. After his revelation, Austin was asked what his role will be for the historic event. However, Austin gave no tease or indication of what his role will be for WrestleMania, telling TMZ that fans would have to tune in on the WWE Network to see his appearance.

It’s nice to see that Austin will indeed appear at WrestleMania XXX. While it did appear that Austin was likely returning, I did not hold my breath. Although the confirmation is good to see, it would have been better if Austin’s return was a surprise.
