During WrestleMania XXX, The Shield defeated Kane and The New Age Outlaws in spectacular fashion. The trio made quick work of the opposing team, giving a double-Triple Powerbomb to Billy Gunn and Raod Dogg before picking up the victory.
Shortly after the match, WWE.com published a report, revealing that Gunn had suffered an injury following the match. Gunn sustained hemoptysis, the medical term for coughing up blood, after the double-Triple Powerbomb by The Shield.
WWE Dr. Chris Amann had the following to say regarding Gunn’s injury:
“We brought him back and evaluated him immediately, checked his oxygen, his blood pressure … everything was stable,” Amann continued. “We got some X-rays of his chest, which did not show any evidence of a collapsed lung, so our diagnosis right now is that he most likely ruptured a small blood vessel that caused bleeding to the airways and, subsequently, coughing up blood.”
Regarding Gunn’s condition, Amann said the following:
“We’re going to monitor him closely for the rest of the night, and we’ll have any additional updates as they’re available.

UPDATE: It appears that Gunn is not seriously injured, and the story of his hemoptysis was used as a means to write him off television.
Editor’s Note
WWE has run its course with The New Age Outlaws. They got one final WrestleMania moment in before they walk off into the sunset, although they’ll still have their positions behind the scenes.
