It appears that Batista has once again made rounds for the wrong reasons, similarly to his actions after the Royal Rumble pay-per-view, which saw “The Animal” flip off the Pittsburgh crowd. In PWInsider’s latest reports of a WWE live event in Winnipeg, Manitoba, the website reveals that Batista got into an altercation with a local radio host during Friday’s live event.
Before Batista’s match with Big Show, local morning DJ Cam Carson, allegedly got into a verbal altercation with “The Animal,” leading Batista to shove and even punch Carson to the ground. However, Carson reportedly hit Batista in the back or shoulder area first.
Initially, Carson was allowed to remain at the event. However, at one point during the match Batista gave him the middle finger, while circling the ring. Carson then lost it, trying to hop the rail and go after Batista. This led to Carson being removed from the event.
PWInsider’s initial report also notes that during the match Big Show called Batista “Ba-Bitch-Ta,” and after the match, Batista gave the crowd the middle finger.
Cam Carson’s radio station, Power 97, was promoting the event as the station was a sponsor for the show. While this may very well mean that the whole situation was a publicity stunt, it is not known at this time, according to PWInsider.
WWE superstars are subject to a $10,000 fine for aggressive manners to fans, as Mark Henry noted in 2013. It will be interesting to see what, if anything, comes out of this.
