At the “Extreme Rules” event on May 4, 2014, Bray Wyatt will take on John Cena in a WrestleMania XXX rematch. However, this time, the match will be contested in a steel cage. Following his feud with Cena, there is no telling what is in store for “The Eater of Worlds.”
In a recent report by F4WOnline, some light has been shed on Bray Wyatt’s future in WWE. The website is reporting that there are plans for Wyatt to turn babyface, but not until The Shield turn heel. WWE’s reasoning for this is to keep the two factions on opposite sides of the spectrum. However, in the report, it is noted that Roman Reigns will be an exception for The Shield, as he will not be turning heel. Instead, he will split from the group in order to undergo a monster push as a babyface.
Interestingly, the report seemingly classifies Bray Wyatt and The Wyatt Family as heels. This conflicts the thoughts of some wrestling fans, who believe that the trio are actually babyfaces. For one, they believe The Wyatt family is well-liked, as they feud with Cena. Additionally, they are under the impression that Bray Wyatt’s new tradition of saying the city of an event then “we’re here,” before entering, is a move only for babyfaces.
Editor’s Note
I like WWE’s reasoning here. Having The Shield and The Wyatt Family on opposite sides of the fence is smart, as it may mean that the two factions will clash once again down the road.
