The next edition of “Monday Night Raw,” which will occur on March 3, will be in Chicago, the hometown of recently departed WWE superstar CM Punk. Punk’s last appearance for the company was on Jan. 26 at the Royal Rumble pay-per-view, in which he was eliminated by on-screen WWE Director of Operations Kane. The following day, Punk reportedly walked out on WWE.
According to PWInsider, at the previous week’s “Monday Night Raw” from Green Bay Wis., there was no talk among the talents that anyone would see Punk next week. Additionally, the website is reporting that within WWE, Punk is not expected to be at the March 3 “Monday Night Raw” in Chicago.
Because of this, there is concern on what the crowd will do with the absence of CM Punk, according to PWInsider. F4WOnline is also reporting that WWE officials are aware of the Twitter accounts, pushing to hijack the edition of “Monday Night Raw.” The accounts have been tweeting hashtags like “#HijackRaw,” and have picked up steam over the past couple of weeks. Additionally, F4WOnline notes that WWE is planning accordingly with the accounts in mind.
Finally, PWInsider is also reporting that people who spoke with Punk while he attended a UFC event in Las Vegas, stated that he appeared to be non-committal in regards to his WWE status in addition to viewing it as something in the past.
