AJ Lee Calls Out Stephanie McMahon for State of WWE Divas Division

WWE aired its first edition of “Monday Night Raw” coming out of the “Fastlane” pay-per-view on Feb. 23. Within the showing of WWE’s flagship program, there was not much focus towards the Divas division. While Natalya and Naomi would clash during a match between The Usos and Cesaro and Tyson Kidd for the WWE Tag Team Championship, there would only be one Divas match on the show.

The aforementioned bout would see The Bella Twins face Paige and Emma in tag team action. The match would go under a minute, with The Bella Twins quickly and emphatically pinning Emma.

With the glaring absence of Divas on the show, the WWE Universe would not be shy about the misuse of Divas on main WWE programming. Both during and following “Raw,” the hashtag #GiveDivasAChance trended worldwide.

The following night, the Twitter account of three-time Divas Champion AJ Lee, @WWEAJLee, would call out Stephanie McMahon for the WWE’s misuse of its women.

It started with Stephanie McMahon tweeting about Patricia Arquette’s speech at The Oscars, in which she campaigned for equal pay and rights for women:

During the evening of Feb. 24, AJ Lee presumably took to her Twitter account, barring it being hacked, to call out Stephanie McMahon.

Nice to see AJ Lee take a stand, assuming her Twitter account was not hacked, which I highly doubt. It’s pretty clear most women are not treated fairly within WWE.
