Several within the WWE Universe have been imploring the company to bring back “War Games” for many years, but now it seems like that may be a very real possibility here in 2016.

In case you’re not aware, the original “War Games” was a unique match concept for two different teams of four or five men fighting a match with two rings while also being surrounded by a steel cage.

According to DailyWrestlingNews.com, there are some serious discussions within WWE right now about trying to bring back the “War Games” match concept later this year at “Summerslam” or “Survivor Series.”

Whether the match comes back depends greatly on how storylines work out and what the WWE roster looks like at that point, but it’s possible that he could see the concept even though it wouldn’t be called War Games.

There is some talk about bringing back The Shield in some form to fight some form of “The Bullet Club” by then, but all of that depends on injuries and other factors.

If “War Games” is a strange concept to you. You should think of it as a Hell in a Cell match with a touch of a “Survivor Series” elimination match. It would be surreal to see this concept back in WWE, and it could lead to an established “War Games” PPV in 2017 if it catches on with the WWE Universe.

Do you want to see a “War Games” match in WWE this year?
