In 2016, WWE has done an outstanding job of embracing a lot of outside talent, especially from New Japan Pro Wrestling on the other side of the globe.

The recent addition of AJ Styles has given WWE a secret weapon on the roster that can be used for just about anything WWE programming needs. Shinsuke Nakamura’s debut in NXT continues to draw near while the WWE Universe waits for Karl Anderson and Doc Gallows.

However, it appears that WWE may not be done bringing in former NJPW talents into WWE.

According to Wrestinglinc.com, WWE officials are interested in the current IWGP Heavyweight Champion Kazuchika Okada.

Apparently, WWE’s interest in him is his ability to add value to the Japanese market for WWE and because he is tall. Okada is billed at 6-foot-3.

It’s going to be challenging to lure him away because NJPW offered a five year contract to Okada and he’s demostrated his intentions to remain loyal to the promotion.

Having said that, there isn’t any confirmation that Okada has accpeted the deal and he’s reportedly still open to traveling abroad like Nakamura recently has done. It’s likely that NJPW will offer a lot more money than WWE will be willing to pay.
